The bright color intensity and the humorous social criticism of his canvases are the leitmotif of Marc Jung's art, and this is immediately apparent in the work of art › KOMPROISS FEINDLICH ‹. Using spray cans and acrylic paint, the Erfurt artist breaks down traditional ideas about painting and deals with the gray of monotonous cities. Jung, who studied at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, breaks up every urban concrete desert with his bright color palette. As a child of East German social housing projects, he began to illuminate his world with art in his youth. From a rebellious graffiti sprayer, he developed into an internationally sought-after and renowned artist.

Marc Jung is a prolific artist who does not subscribe to any philosophical school of thought in his work. Instead, he offers his own direct and unfiltered view of the world and its contemporary history. In his work, Marc Jung reflects on the contradictions and beauties of our time and creates new imagery that often refers to great masters of art history, without neglecting the ideals of the structure of the discipline. He criticizes, exposes, mocks and glorifies the world around him and uses modern stylistic devices and symbolism to create his own visual language.

Unlike much of contemporary art, which can be a purely visual or sensory experience without demanding much from the viewer, Marc Jung's works offer easier access for those less familiar with the reception of art. He uses a variety of materials such as oil, acrylic, lacquer, neon and fluorescent paints, and markers to create works that are intense, vibrant, and always honest. Despite his heavy workload, which includes exhibitions in cities such as Munich, Frankfurt, and Berlin, as well as interviews and appearances on talk shows, he works with great discipline and dedication.

Marc Jung's professional career speaks for the seriousness of his work. He studied at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna under Daniel Richter and was a master student of Wolfram Adalbert Scheffler at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden.
