Collection: Denesh Ghyczy
Dénesh Ghyczy lives and works in Austria. He studied at the Art Academy in Amsterdam, as well as in Budapest and Brussels.
In his visual worlds, the artist repeatedly deals with the juxtaposition of man and space, orienting himself on a private sphere and towards contemporary architecture as an idyllic retreat.
"I have developed a pictorial language in which the depiction seems to dissolve," is how Ghyczy himself describes his works. He draws inspiration from real impressions and experiences as well as from the world of social media, which "creates a fictitious reality".
The dualism of interior and exterior runs through the pictorial representations and is reinforced by the reproduction of large glass fronts. A play of light and colour is inherent in his works, which are broken up by the artist's faceted ductus.
