Collection: Kathrin Waechter
The artist Kathrin Wächter structures her paintings as accumulators of emotional energies.
As in batteries, polarities are condensed into tension and compressed. Colours are confronted at the extremes between light and darkness, the fulcrums of all that is visible. At the borders of these poles, wordless dramas take place as a formulation of a questioned ego. Wächter's works are placing themselves as a rebellion against the disappearance of individuality, as presences that confront the viewer independently and as given and not otherwise.
