Michael Erbach studied industrial design at the Berlin University of the Arts and at the Pratt Institute in New York. For his own artistic work, he developed a legend, similar to the explanation of symbols on a map, and used this as the basis for his work. He ascribes a certain validity to every form and color. In doing so, he orients himself towards the theories of the Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky, who is regarded as an important artist figure of classical modernism. Erbach's works are colour-intensive compositions that reveal themselves as a formation of points, lines and symbols in combination with colours. "The aesthetic feeling is subjective," says Michael Erbach himself and invites you to view his works subjectively.
