Mitternacht. Die Gaslampen erhellen den Tisch.

Ein Hummer, aufgebrochen, zeigt sein Fleisch.

Ohrenbetäubender Lärm.

Ein Champagnertropfen

erschlägt sich auf dem Boden.“

 

Die Galerie Lachenmann Art zeigt in der Einzelausstellung ›TOTAL MUSEUM‹ eine neue Werkreihe von Lars Teichmann, welche sich dem Thema Stillleben im Großformat widmet. Die bisher unveröffentlichten Arbeiten überzeugen neben ihren physischen Dimensionen, ebenso durch einzigartige Farbtiefe, Komposition und malerischen Verschleierungen.

 

Ein Stillleben ist etwas Geschehenes, ein fixierter Punkt eines fluktuativen Moments. Es erzählt viel mehr, als die darin abgebildeten Objekte. Die Erinnerung an ein Fest, ein Zusammenkommen, gelebte Nähe. - Das Geschehen um die Objekte herum.

 

Alles Dinge, die momentan nur unter Einschränkungen möglich sind. In Anbetracht dieser neuen globalen gesellschaftlichen Veränderungen, transformiert Teichmann das Stillleben neu, zu zeitgemäßer Stärke und durchdringender Präsenz. Er lädt dazu ein, in diese überdimensionalen Werke einzutauchen und ein inneres Fest zu feiern, mit allem was uns bislang damit vertraut war.

In the solo exhibition ›TOTAL MUSEUM‹ the gallery Lachenmann Art shows a new series of works by Lars Teichmann, which is dedicated to the topic of still life in large format. In addition to their physical dimensions, the so far unpublished works are also convincing through their unique depth of colour, composition and painterly veiling.

A still life is something that happens, a fixed point of a fluctuating moment. It tells much more than the objects depicted in it. The memory of a celebration, a coming together, a lived closeness. - The occurrences around the objects.

All things, that are currently only possible with restrictions. In view of these new global social changes Teichmann transforms the still life in a new way, to contemporary strength and pervading presence. He invites us to immerse ourselves in these oversized works and to celebrate an inner festivity, with everything we have been familiar with up to now.
